Thanks for stopping by! My name is Ivana, and I am homegrown in Birmingham, Alabama. I am an aspiring writer, a fashion junkie, a pseudo home-improvement expert, and a fairly decent cook (unless everyone just throws their food to the dogs when I'm not looking). I have always dreamed of having my own blog, and being just over a year away from finishing college sounded like the perfect time to start. My love of fashion most definitely came from my funky, free-spirited mom. She always taught me that standing out is better than fitting in, especially when it comes to your clothes. My home decor tips have come from my mom, my never ending coffee table books, and the men at the local hardware store that have done just about anything I've ever asked of them. My cooking definitely originated from my grandmother- who we all affectionately referred to as Ma. Ma could make just about anything from a perfect southern corn casserole to a juicy strawberry cake. She probably would have beaten Chris Hastings in a taste test too! I try to incorporate all of her old recipes as often as I can, and I wish I would have gotten more cooking advice from her while I still had the chance. And finally, the dream of writing is all mine. Ever since I can remember, I had a pen in my hand and I was begging my mom to buy me just ONE more notebook at the store.
